AFRIFF Film & Content Market Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 28 October 2025
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern every interaction with the AFRIC Film & Content Market platform operated by AFRIFF (“AFCM”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By requesting a booth, reviewing a quote, purchasing passes, or otherwise engaging with the marketplace, you agree to comply with these Terms on behalf of yourself and any business you represent.
1. Accounts & Company Representation
You must provide accurate contact information and be authorised to act for your organisation. AFCM may request supporting documentation at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that provide misleading details, fail to meet payment obligations, or breach onsite policies.
When you complete the guided onboarding flow from a booth quote invite, you certify that the information submitted is complete and that you are empowered to bind the named company to these Terms.
2. Booth Quotes & Reservations
Booth availability, pricing, and placement are managed within the AFCM operations console. Quotes are valid only for the period indicated in the invitation email or until explicitly withdrawn by AFCM. We may adjust layouts or relocate booths to maintain safety and programme requirements; comparable alternatives will be offered when possible.
A booth reservation remains provisional until the quote is accepted and payment is received. If payment deadlines are missed, the reservation may be cancelled and the space reallocated without further notice.
3. Electronic Acceptance & Signature
Selecting “Finish setup & accept quote”, “Review & accept quote”, or any similar call to action constitutes an electronic signature under the Nigerian Electronic Signatures Act and comparable international regulations. The acceptance event includes your name, email address, device details, IP address, timestamp, and the Terms version recorded in our audit log. This electronic signature is legally enforceable and binds the represented company to these Terms along with any specific quote notes.
If you do not agree, do not complete the acceptance flow. Contact operations@afcm.app for manual review or contract amendments.
4. Payments & Refunds
Accepted quotes trigger an invoice and secure payment instructions, typically via Paystack. Unless a written addendum states otherwise, booth payments are due in full within seven (7) calendar days of acceptance. All fees are non-refundable once processed except where AFCM cancels the contracted space without offering a comparable alternative. Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in immediate suspension from AFCM events.
5. Conduct & Onsite Policies
Exhibitors and their teams must comply with AFCM’s code of conduct, venue regulations, and any instructions issued by the operations crew. Unsafe structures, unauthorised subletting, or disruptive behaviour may lead to removal without refund. All marketing materials must respect applicable intellectual property, advertising, and consumer protection laws.
6. Data & Communications
We collect personal and company information to manage booth allocations, invoicing, programmes, and event safety. Details on how we store and process data can be found in the Privacy Policy. By completing the quote acceptance flow, you consent to receive operational updates, contractual notices, and service communications via email or in-app notifications. You may opt out of promotional messages at any time without affecting transactional correspondence.
7. Pass fulfilment & printing partners
AFCM may engage an authorised credential provider—currently Liveet—to personalise and print physical badges. We share only the minimum attendee data needed to complete the print job (name, company if provided, badge type, validity dates, badge access code, order reference, and where required the attendee’s email and phone number). Liveet acts strictly on our instructions, keeps the information secure, and deletes it within seven (7) days of completing production. Liveet is prohibited from using attendee data for any other purpose. Full details are set out in the Privacy Policy.
You remain responsible for collecting badges promptly, verifying printed details, and contacting AFCM immediately if corrections are required. Replacement badges may incur a fee if the error was caused by incomplete or inaccurate data supplied by you.
8. Limitation of Liability
AFCM shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the market, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the fees actually paid by you for the affected booth reservation.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be announced through the platform or via email. By continuing to use the services after an update, you accept the revised Terms. Archived versions are available upon request.
